Everyone makes the best decisions for themselves with the information they have at the time. In hindsight and when new information is revealed is when we may think maybe we were wrong for our actions. Maybe we should not have done that. Maybe we didn't understand the other person cause we assume to know the truth. But actions from the past can't be changed neither can experiences regardless of new information obtained and it still builds the person we are in the present. Wounds never heal perfect and we always have to live with the scars. The scars we have and the ones we gave.


I had a dream about a future time. Possibly near downtown, seemed like there were fireworks and I was visiting. Cars were being towed up and down the street just because they could be. They were being taken. Not by tow trucks but black men pushing them away regardless if the car was on or not. The police were swerving corners in vans with the side doors opens so everyone can see the inmates of all colors and they were looking at you in jumpsuits being taken to jail. The jail had men walking in and out in orange and white jumpsuits. The neighborhood was terrified of the gangs because people could be shot wherever, whenever. 




People were leaving as fast as they could or running to get inside. Most were too afraid to be in the street. Women were running for their lives from exes they knew they had to get away from or they would kill them. They ran away in the first place cause they were afraid but still lived in the neighborhood so always looking over their shoulders. And I was new, just standing in the street, walking on the sidewalk, watching. Gang members told me when I left a building to not return that way. They said we know you are visiting, we know you are new, so we are letting you through this time. But don't return this way. Find another way to get where you're going. It actually felt like they cared. The fear I felt from the people and women. The lawlessness from the police looked like something from a dystopia future. It looked like chaos.

Don't let the animation turn you off (it did for me, initially). Hell, you don't even need to watch, you can listen to it in the background. The dialog is golden, and to someone who hasn't read Pratchett, I see it's high time I started.
